Who Is The Manufacturer Of Icelandic Red Algae Calcium?

The Icelandic brand produces only the Red Algae supplement, which was released only a year ago. Subsequently, there’s little to know at first.

However, with a little scrolling, you can find that Icelandic is the brainchild of Leading Edge Health, a men’s and women-health organization that’s operated since 2001.

And with no blemish at all, you can rightly believe that Icelandic belongs to a healthcare firm that has not put an ingredient wrong in 21 years. If brand records were our sole criteria for review, Icelandic would nest close to the ultimate score.

What’s better? Leading Edge Health offers plenty of other helpful products for men and women. You can find organic products on sexual health, skin health, anti-aging, and general health.

Are you okay with this? We equally are, but let’s see how Red Algae Calcium benefits your bone health before further judgment.

How Does Red Algae Calcium Work?

“How do red algae calcium work” remains a frequent question among prospective buyers of this product, so we’ve explained the process as our experiment demonstrated.

Red Algae Calcium works by helping you fill a significant part of your daily calcium and magnesium recommendations. These minerals remain at the ideal levels in your body even if you don’t bother adding them to your diet specifically.

The absence of these minerals causes your parathyroid glands to produce too many hormones, triggering hyperparathyroidism, an all too common associate of osteopetrosis and frequent fractures.

Know what’s better? The supplement is also rich in vitamin D3, a precursor to optimized calcium absorption in the body. And let’s not ignore that Red Algae Calcium also offers vitamin K2, another nutrient your bone cannot do without.

Icelandic Red Algae Calcium Ingredients – Are They Safe & Effective?

Many medicinal brands are guilty of stuffing their products with irrelevant ingredients to win customers’ interest. Is Red Algae Calcium one of such products?

Below, we evaluate the properties of each primary ingredient in the supplement to justify its inclusion.

Red Algae: Calcium & Magnesium

Various studies have tagged calcium as the most beneficial nutrient to the bones, while magnesium comes second. In fact, 99% of the body’s calcium and 60% of the body’s magnesium are used in the bone.

One such study is published by Harvard University on its official journal website. This study suggested that you can reduce the risk of hip fracture and enhance your home content and density, provided you consume sufficient amounts of calcium every day[1]. What’s more, this mineral can make movement easier and faster with its joint-beneficial attributes. It’s even helpful in teeth development!

Likewise, magnesium makes an excellent case for its inclusion in Red Algae Calcium ingredients. This trace mineral has posted remarkable results in all bone-health studies[2]. With regular intake, you can tackle inflamed joints and strengthen existing bones, improving general mobility. Recent evidence confirms there’s no point in arguing that low magnesium consumption is a constant for brittle bones and sore joints.

Vitamins: D3 & K2

Have you done any reading on the essential nutrients for bone development? Vitamin D3 and K2, especially the former, must have been a steady compound throughout the study, and for good reasons. Here’s why.

Calcium and magnesium are hardly useful to bone health without vitamin D3, but how is this possible? It’s because your body cannot absorb these minerals on its own without the help of D vitamins. While it’s impossible to write out the importance of calcium and magnesium to your body, it’s vital to recognize that their properties are rarely maximized unless they are used with vitamin D.

As expected, this relationship has been established scientifically without any doubt. Clinical studies continuously link ideal bone density with sufficient levels of vitamin D. Similarly, low calcium levels can worsen the symptoms of vitamin D deficiency, so both go hand in hand[3].

In the same vein, vitamin K2 has significant contributions to your bone health, although its relevance is only apparent in recent studies. Therefore, we laud Icelandic’s thoughtfulness to have included the vitamin in this product. You can be confident that various studies have concluded that you may break a hip soon if you’re eating below 109 milligrams of this K vitamin daily. Also, we have discussed this Vitamin K2 in our Fruitex-B Reviews.

While talking about bone health and vitamin D, most people are aware of Jarrow formula’s Bone Up. Read our article on bone up reviews for more information.

Citrus Bioflavonoids

How often do you eat citrus fruits, such as grapefruit, lemon, orange, and tangerine? Your bones must be in good condition if your answer is “frequently.”

In other words, these citruses have unique compounds —bioflavonoids— which make them a must-have in an optimized bone-beneficial formula. Why? These phytochemicals tackle oxidants and inflammation in the body.

To this effect, verified studies have proven that flavonoids rank only below calcium and D vitamins for bone health. Not to mention that citrus fruits are highly beneficial to overall body health[4].

Natural Vegan Superfoods

“Natural,” “vegan,” and “superfoods” are keywords that stand independently for their excellent health contributions, so you can understand our glee that Red Algae Calcium combines all three in the form of kale, cherry, raspberry, spinach, and carrot.

Needless to say, these ingredients are a welcome addition. They serve as the final piece of the jigsaw in this excellent product. Thanks to their anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant qualities, these veggies relieve tensed joints and strengthen the bones[5].

What’s better? Vegan superfoods have various other uses in the body, ranging from improved cardiovascular health to lower cholesterol levels.

It’s crucial to take the substances’ inherent anti-inflammatory capabilities into account while searching for joint health solutions. Inflammation and discomfort can be reduced by using products like Heal-n-Soothe, heal n soothe ingredients that contain a combination of proteolytic enzymes and other natural substances.

Icelandic Red Algae Calcium – Customer Reviews

  • I’m losing bone density in my gums and I am hoping this will restore that and the bones in my hips, etc. I’ll know in 6 months when my next x-rays are taken if, and how well, Leading Edge Health’s Icelandic Red Algae Calcium works. But I can say they are easy to swallow and flavorless. I do love everything that is on the bottle. It has Citrus Bioflavonoids in it and that is wonderful for many things. K2 and D3 also. It promises to be a good joint pain supplement. I’ll let you know. ~ Hortensia Dunman

Very Excited About The Icelandic Red Algae Calcium
Just received this Icelandic Red Algae Calcium supplement yesterday. Reviews were good enough for me to try this product over the double the price product on the market. Cannot rate the efficacy of course, will do that one year after my next DEXA scan. My Physician recommended I take Algae Calcium if I was not satisfied with on-the-market bisphosphonate drugs due to their side effects. I prefer a natural joint pain supplement so am hoping I have success like the others who have reviewed this product
