Combating arthritic related symptoms as the disease sets in is important, and reversing it may be possible with the right tools and supplements.

What is Arthritis? Can it be Reversed?

Arthritis affects more than 46 million Americans and it’s estimated that around 1 in every 5 people will suffer from it during their lives. The most common form is osteoarthritis, which is brought on by the deterioration of the joints.

As we age, our bodies begin to produce less of various compounds. Along with this, we gradually place wear and tear on our joints. Some of the compounds that the body slows production of as we age are things like chondroitin and glucosamine, which are needed for the natural healing of cartilage and tendons. As our joints begin to wear down, osteoarthritis may set in. Its symptoms and signs are inflammation of the joints, stiffness within them, and pain ranging from mild to very severe depending on the case.

Modern medicine will tell you that arthritis can’t be reversed and usually this is quite true. But there is a growing amount of anecdotal evidence that suggests the opposite is true. More patients than ever before are swearing by their natural supplements as a way to reverse its effects and get relief from the pain. Clinical research is still inconclusive about whether or not supplements can help to reverse this condition or regrow new cartilage, but a number of studies have found evidence that it may be more possible than many experts previously realized.

Supplements containing chondroitin and glucosamine deliver the compounds back to the body and can help trigger the healing process that may have slowed down or stopped before. This may help reverse osteoarthritis. At the very least there is no question that these supplements can stop the degeneration of cartilage within the joints and stop the spread of the condition. Additionally, most who use the supplements have reported a significant decrease in their pain levels after using them. In short, these supplements provide a way to get relief from the pain that most people think they are stuck living with for good.

Adding things like a joint healthy diet with salmon, almonds, vitamin C, and more will also help, as well simple physical therapy type exercises or stretches. But above it all, the use of supplements is a viable option for anyone looking to stand up to arthritis and fight against it and possibly even reverse it.
