Joint Problems – Two Common Causes and Solutions
Although joint problems are more common in older adults, anyone at any age can suffer from joint issues. Not only are joint problems painful, they can interfere with your quality of life. The most common problem that affects people is osteoarthritis. This is a joint disorder caused by the deterioration of cartilage between the bones. How bursitis is treated depends on whether or not the underlying cause includes an infection. If there is no infection, then a cold compress, rest and medication that reduces inflammation and pain is usually prescribed. If there is an infection, then the doctor will need to determine the cause and type of infection and may prescribe an antibiotic or even surgery to treat the problem. Osteoarthritis and bursitis are just two common conditions that cause Joint Problems.
