Arthritis in Hips – What You Can Do If You Have Arthritis in Your Hips

Sharon Conroy

There are so many people who are diagnosed with arthritis in hips every day. It is a condition that affects so many people. Even though it does affect so many, however, there are still some people who do not know what they can do for their arthritis in hips condition. Maybe they can’t afford the treatment options that their doctors have given them or those treatments just have not worked for their arthritis in hips. The good news is that there are plenty of other treatment options other than what your doctor will give you. The key is knowing where to look.

If you have arthritis in hips, then you may be aware of the fact that there are plenty of herbal supplements you can take for your condition. In the event that you did not know that, here are a few of the herbal supplements that can help with arthritis in hips:

  • Devil’s Claw -
  • This herb acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and, since most types of arthritis are inflammatory in nature, this herbal supplement can work wonders for your arthritis in hips.

  • White Willow Bark -
  • This herb can also help reduce inflammation.

  • Boswellia -
  • This herb also acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.

As you can see, anything that acts as an anti-inflammatory agent is preferable in treating conditions like arthritis in hips.

If your case of arthritis in hips is mild, you can also use things like muscle rubs that will help with the more superficial pain. There are many different brands available, from those that have a strong odor to ones with no odor at all. Of course, this is probably not going to help for very severe cases of arthritis in hips. If, however, you are having a somewhat good day and do not feel the need to take anything else, you can use muscle rubs in order to help with the small amount of pain from the arthritis in hips.

You can also use a heating pad to help with comfort on days when your arthritis in hips is particularly bothersome. This helps especially on cold days, as the cold temperatures will affect your arthritis in hips quite a bit. Just be sure not to use the heating pad along with the muscle rub for the arthritis in hips because it can increase your chances of getting burned from the heating pad. You can use it with any herbal supplements or pills you take by mouth. All of these treatment options are great alternatives to the more expensive treatment options your doctor will prescribe for your arthritis in hips ailment.
